Junior Chemists Academy (Ages 8–13)
Get ready for a summer filled with explosions, color-changing reactions, slime, rockets, forensic investigations, and hands-on science!
Our 10-week Junior Chemists Academy introduces students to the exciting world of chemistry through experiments they can see, touch, build, and take home. Each week focuses on a different chemistry theme, helping students develop observation skills, critical thinking, and scientific curiosity while having fun.
Throughout the program, students will:
Investigate mystery substances like real scientists
Build models of atoms and molecules
Create exciting chemical reactions
Explore acids, bases, and the pH scale
Make butter, ice cream, and other food-science creations
Experiment with dry ice, fog, and states of matter
Design and test slime and polymers
Solve forensic science mysteries using evidence
Launch rockets powered by chemical reactions
Complete a final Chemistry Challenge Day and graduation ceremony
Every session includes hands-on experiments, guided instruction, and a take-home project or activity. Students learn scientific concepts through active exploration rather than lectures, making chemistry approachable, memorable, and fun.
No prior science experience is required. All materials are provided, and activities are designed to be age-appropriate, engaging, and safe under instructor supervision.
By the end of the program, students won’t just learn chemistry—they’ll think like scientists.
Program Length: 10 Weeks
Session Length: 2 Hours Per Week
Age Group: 8–13 Years Old
Includes: Experiments, take-home activities, certificate of completion, and Junior Chemist graduation.
Format: Library • School • Community Program • Summer Program
